Actor Salman Khan is known to back newcomers in the industry, apart from his numerous friends and family. The actor is always seen promoting their work or lending support to their movies by producing them.

Recently, the actor attended the pre-release event of the pan-India film Vikrant Rona starring Kiccha Sudeepa, since the Hindi version of the film is presented by his banner Salman Khan Films (SKF).

Talking about supporting the work of others, Khan said, “It’s not that I just help family and friends. If they can help me with an outstanding product or film, only then I will lend my support to them. My friends think I’m supporting them, but they are supporting me with good films.”

The actor clearly stated that he would get behind something only if he finds it up to the mark. The actor said, “He’s [Kiccha Sudeepa] done Bigg Boss, I’ve done Bigg Boss. He’s done Huchcha (2001). Then I was one of the owners at CCL and these guys used to beat us. Our guys used to just have fun but Sudeepa and his team were so competitive. So, we have a really long connection. But he’s just fantastic and so is this film.”

Vikrant Rona is set to be released on 28 July. At the moment, Khan is shooting with another huge star from the South, Venkatesh. The actor said he always worked with technicians and actors from the South and he has a great connection with everyone there. “I’ve been working with a lot of South directors, actors. I’ve worked with Sudeepa, Prakash Raj and a lot of South directors and DOPs. Right now I’m working with Venky (Venkatesh), his first film in Hindi, Anari, was a big hit and Karisma Kapoor was launched with that. I’ve worked a lot with Prabhu Deva,” said the actor-producer.
