Director Mihir Fadnavis’s film Lords Of Lockdown had its premiere at the New York Indian Film Festival in April. Now the film has been selected for the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM).

The film is based on the tragic realities faced by daily wage workers.

Talking about the film, Fadnavis said, "I still get goosebumps thinking about how all of us dealt with the uncertainties during the pandemic. While shooting the movie, our faith in humanity was restored because of the selfless services of so many unsung heroes. Not just frontline workers but even the common man stepped up to help others, which is really heart-warming. I am beyond delighted about the recognition that Lords of Lockdown is receiving. This is the second selection at another international festival and it is really humbling."

The film has produced by Anurag Kashyap and Navin Shetty, who is taking Indie cinema to greater heights.

The IFFM, which is the largest annual celebration of Indian cinema outside of India, is set to take place from 12 to 30 August.
