The Hollywood Critics Association (HCA) announced the winners of its mid-season awards yesterday with SS Rajamouli's multi-lingual blockbuster RRR (2022) being adjudged the runner-up in the Best Picture category.
This is another feather in the cap for the Rajamouli magnum opus which has achieved both critical acclaim and box-office success. The Hindi dubbed version of the film recorded a lifetime collection of about Rs 275 crore in India alone.
The Ram Charan- and JR NTR-starrer has also done well on its OTT release and it appears that the appreciation coming its way will not stop anytime soon.
Everything Everywhere All At Once, an American comedy drama directed by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert, was adjudged the Best Picture. The film also won the award for Best Indie Film.
Everything Everywhere All At Once stars Michelle Yeoh, who won the Best Actress award. The Best Actor award went to Austin Butler for Elvis (2022) while Tom Cruise was the runner-up for Top Gun: Maverick (2022).
