The makers of Brahmastra Part One: Shiva released the teaser of ‘Kesariya’ a day before the film’s lead pair Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot and since then, the song has become a rage on social media.
The full track, which was finally unveiled yesterday, showcases Bhatt and Kapoor's chemistry in Varanasi.
Composed by Pritam, the melody stays with you. However, netizens seem underwhelmed by the number, comparing it to the song ‘Laree Chooti’ from Ek Chalis Ki Last Local (2007) which was composed by the Pakistani band Call.

Overall the lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya are beautiful but ‘love storiyaan’ hasn’t seemed to have gone down too well with some listeners.
Amitabh Bhattacharya rhymed 'love storiyan" with "kesariya tera ishq piya" , just like Javed Akhtar rhymed "San Francisco" with "dard-e-disco"

Nevertheless, Arijit Singh’s voice is sure to hit you in the feels and makes this track worth hearing, along with the beautiful visuals and the lead pair’s chemistry. Fans of the couple will definitely enjoy this one.
