Phone Bhoot marks the first collaboration between Kaif, Khatter and Chaturvedi in their first horror film. Directed by Gurmeet Singh, the horror-comedy comes across as a spoof on the genre. The film was announced over two years back but it was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It will now finally arrive in cinemas on 7 October 2022.
Earlier, the makers had announced the release date with yet another quirky poster which showed the trio sporting a tad different look. That poster had also featured Jackie Shroff, Sheeba Chaddha and Nidhi Bisht, as ghosts in the background. Phone Bhoot is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani under their banner Excel Entertainment.
Apart from this movie, Kaif will be seen sharing screen with Vijay Sethupathi in Sriram Raghavan's Merry Christmas (2022) and with Salman Khan in Tiger 3 (2023). Khattar will be seen alongside Mrunal Thakur in the war drama Pippa (2022). Chaturvedi, meanwhile, will be seen opposite Malavika Mohanan and Ananya Panday in Rudra (2023) and Zoya Akhtar's Kho Gaye Hum Kahan (2023) respectively.
