Puri Jagannadh’s Liger is one of the most anticipated films for the second half of 2022. A few days ago, Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘bare-all’ poster from the film created quite a stir and now the makers have released the song ‘Akdi Pakdi’ from the film.

From its beats to the vibe and choreography, this track has 'massy' written all over it. The number has been composed by Lijo George and DJ Chetas while the hook has been composed by Sunil Kashyap. The beats, which have ‘full-on Ganesh Chaturthi’ visarjan vibes, will appeal to everyone.

The song reminds you of the chartbusters that superstar Govinda would dance to.

Sung by Devi Negi, Pawni Pandey and Lijo George, the lead pair Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday have done full justice to the track by losing every inhibition.

Both artistes can be seen wearing animal print outfits in the song. In the first half of 2022, we’ve seen larger-than-life, mass entertainers from the South such as Pushpa: The Rise, RRR and KGF 2 perform well at the box office. One hopes the Puri Jagannadh film will follow suit as it’s set to be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Liger is due to be released on 25 August.
