The trailer of Ghar Waapsi on Disney+ Hotstar begins with Indore native Shekhar (Vishal Vashishtha) returning home from Bangalore after losing his job.
He doesn’t disclose this information to his family members until they start introducing him to prospective brides. Shekhar must undergo a journey of self-discovery and choose between his work-life and family.
Ghar Waapsi will seem relatable to most youngsters today who have lost their jobs amid the pandemic, which has taken a toll on most industries, or have to stay away from their families in a different city because of their work. The trailer leaves one with a question – is staying away from one's family and losing out on precious moments with loved ones worth it for a job?
Will Shekhar be able to find his true calling? And will he be able to choose between work and family? We shall discover that when the series releases.
The ensemble cast, which comprises Atul Srivastava, Vibha Chibber and Anushka Kaushik, looks interesting. But the only glitch seems to be the title. SonyLIV has just released a similarly titled series, Nirmal Pathak Ki Ghar Wapsi, which also revolved around the main character returning back to his home town and undergoing a transformation.
