Coronavirus update: Dev Adhikari, Rukmini Maitra test positive, recovering in home isolation

Actor-producer Dev Adhikari and real-life partner and actress Rukmini Maitra have tested positive for COVID-19.

In the morning yesterday, Dev, responding to concerns expressed by fans, said on Facebook that he had undergone an RT-PCR test and was awaiting the report.

A few hours ago, he confirmed on Twitter that he had tested positive but added that he was showing no symptoms and is currently in home isolation.

For Maitra, this is the second time she has contracted the contagion. She had tested positive last year while shooting for the Hindi film Sanak (2021), starring Vidyut Jammwal, during the second wave of the pandemic.

Maitra informed fans on Twitter that she, too, is currently in home isolation, following the guidelines of her family doctor. The actress also urged her followers to 'stay strong' in these trying times and wear masks.
