While quite a few people from the film industry have tested positive for COVID-19 after the holiday season, actor Adivi Sesh made it a point not to attend any New Year parties to keep himself and his family safe. Currently, he is doing the dubbing for his upcoming film Major.

Adivi Sesh said in a statement, “We have a standard policy within our team. Mask up and use common sense. I am very conscious about my parents’ health, so I always make it a point to avoid crowded situations and to stay masked. To avoid parties on NYE [New Year’s eve] felt like common sense. To spend it with family and two friends who are double vaccinated and careful made sense. And that’s what I did.”

The actor also had a working weekend because of the dubbing sessions. “Over and above, there were several work commitments and I know the strain that this whole delay puts on the film and [the] cast and crew who have worked so hard. I wanted to ensure that the Hindi dub went smoothly and I am so happy that it all was okay,” he added.

Major is based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, the National Security Guard commando who died while defeating the infamous 26/11 terrorist attack on Mumbai back in 2008.

Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, Major also stars Sobhita Dhulipala, Saiee Manjrekar and Prakash Raj.
