The extent to which the Hindi version of Pushpa: The Rise has appealed to the masses is clear from the fact that it has had a good hold even on its third Monday in theatres. The Allu Arjun-starrer collected Rs2.50 crore nett on the day, according to the trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com.

The film, with a plot based on the racket of smuggling red sandalwood, has amassed Rs17.75 crore nett in the first four days of its third week in cinemas, taking the Hindi version's overall number to Rs64.66 crore.

Pushpa has benefited from the postponement of the Shahid Kapoor-starrer Jersey, which was supposed to be released on 31 December, and the box-office struggle of Kabir Khan’s 83. The film has a clear window this week too as SS Rajamouli’s biggie RRR has been postponed.

The next big film to hit the theatres is the Prabhas-starrer Radhe Shyam. However, it is not confirmed if the film will be released as per schedule given the rise in COVID-19 cases.

Meanwhile, 83 saw a major drop in collections on its second Monday in theatres, earning only Rs1.75 crore. This is a big drop from its Sunday collection of Rs7 crore. While a drop at the beginning of the workweek is natural, the drop in the case of the cricket drama is too steep.

The Hollywood flick Spider-Man: No Way Home collected a decent Rs1.25 crore nett on its third Monday, taking its overall tally in India to Rs203.61 crore.
