Child actor Vinayak Potdar, who was last seen in Samit Kakkad's Half Ticket (2016), is returning to the big screen in Ramesh Chaudhary's Gulhar.
The makers announced the project by unveiling the first motion poster of the film on Tuesday.
The motion poster features a blank blackboard on a craggy wall and is accompanied by a haunting musical score composed by Kedar Divekar
The film's story, written by Mohan Padwal, revolves around an eleven-year-old kid named Gulhar, hence the title. Sanjay Navgire, who has written the critically acclaimed film Redu is has written the screenplay and dialogues for the film.
Along with Potdar, the film also stars Ravi Kale, Bhargavi Chiramule, Suresh Vishwakarma, Madhav Abhyankar, Kishore Chougule, Rukmini Sutar, Shivani Bawkar, Shivaji Bhintade, Anup Shinde, Manjiri Yashwant among others.
The film's music has been composed by Padmanabh Gaikwad while Kumar Dongre has shot the project.
Gulhar has been produced under the banner of Ideal Venture and RK Films, which was launched by Shantaram Medage, Shivaji Bhintade, Anup Shinde and Abid Syed.
