Veeramae Vaagai Soodum trailer: Vishal turns vigilante in an action-packed introduction

Vishal will be seen in yet another action entertainer with Veeramae Vaagai Soodum. Directed by TP Saravanan, the film's trailer has all the elements of a massy action thriller, with a few slick and stylish elements added on. Produced by the actor's own banner, Vishal Film Factory, Veeramae Vaagai Soodum is set to be released in theatres on 4 February.

The title translates loosely to 'Courage always wins'. Vishal is again playing an honest cop facing up to a mafia preying on citizens. Despite the familiarity of the theme, the trailer hints at a deeper, more investigative treatment of the story. As Elango Kumaravel's character warns, 'Someday you will end up hurting a lion and won't be able to control it.' The clashes with the mafia, led by Baburaj's don, are hyped up and have all the bells and whistles of a masala entertainer. 

Despite the promised depth of the story, the trailer underlines the film's emphasis on action. Vishal looks on form and maximizes the opportunity to bash quite a few heads along the way. The action seems to be shot in a slick and effective manner and adds to the expectations from the film. Add Yogi Babu's slick comedy to the mix and Veeramae Vaagai Soodum just might work for the first benchers.
