The release date as well as a new poster were shared via the film’s Twitter handle on Monday.

SS Rajamouli’s highly anticipated magnum opus RRR (2022) will finally hit the screens worldwide on 25 March.

The release date as well as a new poster were shared via the film’s Twitter handle on Monday.

RRR was supposed to be released on 7 January this year. However, it was postponed due to the sudden increase in COVID-19 cases across the country. Earlier this month, the makers had narrowed their choices down to two possible release dates: 18 March and 28 April.

In the film, Jr NTR shares screen space with Ram Charan for the first time. The film is a fictional story set in the 1920s and it revolves around two renowned revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.

Talking about the project, Rajamouli had said at the film’s launch in 2019, “This will be a fictional story on the lives of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. There are gaps in the lives of these legendary freedom fighters that we don’t know about. We don’t know what happened in their lives in these years. It is through this fictional story we’d like to show what could have happened in their lives and what would have happened if they met and bonded.”

The film, which will be dubbed and released in Hindi, also stars Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt, Samuthirakani and Shriya Saran.
