Directed by first-time filmmaker Cibi Chakaravarthi, Don will feature Sivakarthikeyan in the role of a college student for the first time. Priyanka Arul Mohan plays the leading lady while SJ Suryah will also be seen in a pivotal role.
Sivakarthikeyan was last seen on screen in the Tamil dark comedy Doctor (2021), which was a major box office success. The film saw him play an army doctor going after a human trafficking gang.
He also awaits the release of the upcoming Tamil science-fiction thriller Ayalaan. Tipped to be a film centred on a lost alien who finds a friend in Sivakarthikeyan’s character, the film has been directed by R Ravi Kumar.
Rumoured to have been shelved in 2020, Ayalaan, which sees Rakul Preet Singh play an astronomer, was revived after it went back on the floors in February last year.
Isha Koppikar, who returns to Tamil cinema after two decades, will be seen playing an assassin in the movie.
