Dhanush’s multi-language film Vaathi goes on floors

Dhanush’s multi-language project, which has been titled Vaathi in Tamil and Sir in Telugu, went on the floors on Monday. As per reports, the principal shooting will begin at 3 pm in Hyderabad. The team held a customary pooja ceremony, the photos of which are doing the rounds on social media.

Helmed by Venky Atluri, the film sees Dhanush play a professor. The project mark’s the actor's Telugu debut.

Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead while GV Prakash Kumar has been signed on to compose the film's music. The project is being bankrolled by Sithara Entertainment.

Last seen in the Hindi film Atrangi Re, Dhanush will soon commence shooting for a trilingual project with filmmaker Sekhar Kammula. The project, which will go on the floors in a few months, also stars Sai Pallavi. 

Meanwhile, the actor is looking forward to the release of the Netflix film The Gray Man, which marks his international debut.
