The release of the Marathi romantic drama 143, which has been directed by Yogesh Bhosale, has been postponed to 4 March 2022.

The film, which stars Bhosale and Sheetal Ahirrao, was originally slated to arrive in theatres on 11 February.

The filmmaker-actor announced the new release date via a poster featuring himself and Ahirrao. But it's the machete-wielding Vrushabh Shah, who seems to be playing the antagonist, who grabs your attention.

It seems the makers have opted to postpone the release to avoid clashing with Ka Ra Deva, Soyrik and Ek Number, which are also slated to be released on 11 February.

Postponement of Hindi films has opened window of opportunity for Marathi cinema, but for how long?

The shoot was wrapped up in April this year in Nashik and Igatpuri. This is Bhosale's second film as director after Mangalashtak Returns (2022), which also went on the floors earlier this year and is yet to be released.

The film has been jointly by produced Sharda Film Production and Virkumar Shah.
