Actress Bhagyashree's daughter Avantika Dassani is set to make her debut with the upcoming Zee5 web-series, Mithya.

Avantika will team up with Huma Qureshi and Parambrata Chatterjee in the Rohan Sippy-helmed thriller.

Avantika follows brother Abhimanyu Dassani into the film industry. Abhimanyu made his acting debut with Vasan Bala's Mard Ko Dard Nahin Hota (2019).

Avantika's first look from Mithya was shared by the makers on social media today.

The poster features her in the background, hovering over Huma Qureshi's profile in the foreground. Both characters seem to be placed behind a grille.

The series is the official adaptation of the British ITV series, Cheat. The series revolves around a professor and a student trying to manipulate and control each other, with disastrous results.

Sharing her excitement for the debut and shedding light on her first project, Avantika Dassani said, "It has been an absolute thrill to take on a challenging character and intriguing story such as this for my very first endeavour.

"I’m also immensely grateful to have worked with an incredibly talented and supportive cast and crew that has warmly welcomed a newbie like me.

"Today OTT platforms are where audiences come looking for their most exciting experiences and good stories and I’m really glad to start my journey by being a part of this! I hope the audiences enjoy watching Mithya as much as we have had to make it."

The series is helmed by Rohan Sippy, who was the showrunner and executive producer on the Netflix film, Aranyak (2021).
