Sai Pallavi’s performance in the Telugu film Shyam Singha Roy has wowed audiences and critics alike. While enjoying all the attention and praise she’s been receiving for her performance, the actress has been taking to Instagram to post behind-the-scenes pictures and videos.
In Shyam Singha Roy, Sai Pallavi plays a devadasi who is referred to as Rosie by Nani's character, the titular writer-activist who falls in love with the courtesan.
In one post, she shared a still of her character and wrote, “Being Rosie. Thank you is an understatement.”
The actress also shared dance rehearsal videos and captioned one such clip, “I got to perform with some of the most wonderful dancers. Thank you (sic).”
In another post, she wrote, “Words can never describe the emotions I experienced when I performed Pranavalaya.”
In another post, the artiste wrote, "Dear team, I’m not just thankful for the success of the film but also for getting to watch you cinephiles (wish I could find a term more intense) in action. Thank you for the memories. I’m still in awe of what you’ve all created (sic)."
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Shyam Singha Roy, a story of reincarnation, was released in cinemas on 10 December 2021 and is being streamed on Netflix.
The film, which features music by Mickey J Meyer, was produced by Niharika Entertainment. The movie was also released in Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
