Box office: Pushpa’s Hindi version in race to reach Rs100 crore as 83 crawls to Rs98 crore

The Hindi version of the Telugu movie Pushpa: The Rise was unstoppable even in its sixth weekend. The Allu Arjun-starrer made Rs2.85 crore nett in the past three days, according to trade website BoxOfficeIndia.com.
The film’s overall collection in Hindi now stands at a remarkable Rs94.34 crore nett. The trade portal said the film now has a chance of reaching the magical Rs100 crore mark. The Republic Day national holiday on Wednesday is likely to boost the film.
What makes Pushpa’s achievement greater is that the Hindi dubbed version is already on Amazon Prime Video since 14 January. The Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam versions were released on the same platform a week earlier.
Pushpa has also become the seventh South Indian movie to record gross collections of Rs300 crore worldwide. It is currently at Rs335 crore. The other six films to find a place in the list are Enthiran (2010), Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), Kabali (2016), Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017), 2.0 (2018) and Saaho (2019).
Meanwhile, Kabir Khan’s 83 is also about to reach the Rs100 crore mark. But as opposed to Pushpa, the Ranveer Singh-starrer is crawling to the three-figure mark. The film had reached Rs98.63 crore after finishing its fourth week on Friday 22 January.
