Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar share a rainbow-coloured secret in Badhaai Do poster

In November last year, the makers of Badhaai Do announced that the film would be released in theatres on 4 February 2022. But they have now stated via a poster that the new release date of the Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer will be revealed tomorrow along with the trailer of the movie. 

In the poster, Rao is seen in the uniform of a cop. Pednekar, on the other hand, is essaying the role of a PT [physical training] teacher. The two appear all set to marry each other. At the same time, they seem to be stopping each other from divulging some secret. 

There have been unconfirmed reports that Rao and Pednekar play a homosexual man and a lesbian respectively in the film. Their rainbow-coloured attire in the poster also points to this. The motion poster of the movie also indicates that they are hiding a major secret about themselves. 

Produced by Junglee Pictures, Badhaai Do is the sequel to the successful Badhaai Ho (2018), which starred Ayushmann Khurrana, Sanya Malhotra, Neena Gupta and Gajraj Rao. The 2018 movie was directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma. 

Badhaai Do, on the other hand, has been helmed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, who is known for his maiden flick Hunterr (2015). Starring Gulshan Devaiah, the film received much acclaim. He was also the writer behind Dharma Productions’ Hasee Toh Phasee (2014), which starred Sidharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra.
