The Tamil film Mahaan (2022), starring father-son duo Vikram and Dhruv Vikram, will be premiered directly on Amazon Prime Video, on 10 February.
The film, produced by Lalit Kumar, revolves around a series of events that transform the life of an ordinary man as well as the people around him. Mahaan, which sees Vikram and Dhruv Vikram acting alongside each other for the very first time, features Bobby Simha and Simran.
As per a statement from the makers, the film will be available in Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada. The film will be titled Maha Purusha in the latter language.
According to the statement, Mahaan is the story of a man whose family leaves him when he strays from the path of ideological living in his search for personal freedom. "However, as he realizes his ambitions, he also misses the presence of his son in his life. Having fulfilled his dream of becoming a billionaire, does life give him a second chance to be a father? This story is about how his life goes through an unexpected series of events in this thrilling, action-packed journey," the statement read.
Mahaan has been directed by Karthik Subbaraj.
Meanwhile, Dhruv also has a project with filmmaker Mari Selvaraj in the pipeline. Not long ago, the young actor took to Instagram to share a picture of his beefed-up avatar that was captioned, "You can't change what's going on around you until you start changing what's going on within you (sic)."
