Actor Fardeen Khan has confirmed that he has tested positive for COVID-19. The artiste, who was last seen in the romantic comedy Dulha Mil Gaya (2010), is in the process of making his Hindi cinema comeback in director Kookie V Gulati's next project, Visfot.

Khan tweeted on Wednesday that while he was asymptomatic, people should 'keep getting tested if in doubt'. He also stated that this variant was targeting children, including toddlers.

Khan is the latest name on the long list of celebrities who have contracted the virus in the third wave of the pandemic, which includes Lata Mangeshkar, Nafisa Ali, Swara Bhasker and Vishal Dadlani.

Khan's upcoming film Visfot features Riteish Deshmukh and Priya Bapat. The film is a remake of the Venezuelan film Rock, Paper, Scissors (2012), which was the country's entry for the Best Foreign Language Oscar at the 85th Academy Awards.
