My segment in Unpaused: Naya Safar is a tale of simple human emotions, says Neena Kulkarni

The short, Gond Ke Laddu, is one of five stories that comprise the upcoming Amazon Prime Video anthology.

In the upcoming Amazon Prime Video anthology film Unpaused: Naya Safar, Shikha Makan’s short Gond Ke Laddu stars veteran actress Neena Kulkarni as a senior citizen who learns to adopt the latest technology during the lockdown. Comprising five Hindi segments, Unpaused: Naya Safar stresses the need to embrace a positive outlook amidst adversity.

“Everyone is looking for a little hope and that’s what Unpaused: Naya Safar aims to provide,” Kulkarni said in a statement.

“All the five movies in the anthology will bring a smile to your face and leave you with hope and faith.”

According to the actress, Gond Ke Laddu is a tale of simple human emotions. "The short film has been beautifully presented by our director Shikha Makan. It is a story that everyone will relate to. I am glad to have associated with Amazon Prime Video, which will allow audiences to watch our film from the safety and comfort of their homes,” she added.

The four other segments that comprise Unpaused: Naya Safar are Ruchir Arun’s Teen Tigada, Nupur Asthana’s The Couple, Ayappa KM’s War Room and Nagraj Popatrao Manjule’s Vaikunth.

Unpaused: Naya Safar will be premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 21 January.
