Shreya Dhanwanthary's Looop Lapeta character, Julia Mascarenhas, revealed

Shreya Dhanwanthary plays a key role in Aakash Bhatia's thriller Looop Lapeta, which will be premiered on Netflix on 4 February.

The actress took to social media on Wednesday to unveil her character, Julia Mascarenhas, via a clip. The video sees the artiste dressed up as a bride against a kaleidoscopic background. The background track, which attempts to connect random things, ends where it began, indicating the cyclical theme of the film. A tagline is also displayed, which reads, 'Life happens in a circle, not rows'. 

Starring Tahir Raj Bhasin and Taapsee Pannu, the film is a remake of the 1998 cult German film Run Lola Run.

The film also marks Dhanwanthary's second collaboration with Ellipsis Entertainment after Why Cheat India (2019). Speaking to Filmfare.com in an interview, the actress had said that she chose the project as she was 'itching to do something new and crazy'.

The original film, which was helmed by Tom Tykwer, was one of the highest-grossing movies of 1998 and it won the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival that year. 

Looop Lapeta has been produced by Sony Pictures Films India and Atul Kasbekar's Ellipsis Entertainment in association with Aayush Maheshwari.
