Actor Varun Dhawan was bereaved today after his driver of 26 years, Manoj Sahu, died of a heart attack. The actor was spotted leaving Mumbai's Lilavati hospital at Bandra after visiting his man Friday for the last time.
Sahu was at work today and had dropped Dhawan at the Mehboob Studio in Bandra when he complained of a pain in the chest. Dhawan's team rushed him to the Lilavati hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Sharing a video of Sahu with him during the unveiling of Dhawan's wax statue, the actor wrote, "Manoj has been in my life for the last 26 years. He was my everything. I have no words to express my grief, but all I want is for people to remember him for his amazing wit, humour and passion he had for life. I will always be grateful I had you in my life, Manoj dada."
The video dates back to 2018 when Dhawan's wax likeness was unveiled at Madame Tussaud's in London. The actor had called Sahu 'his driving force' before introducing him to the crowd. The video has Dhawan introducing Sahu to the crowd and asking him 'How do you feel?'.
Sahu is survived by his wife and two daughters.
