The Great Indian Murder trailer: Pratik Gandhi, Richa Chadha investigate a high-profile case in this intriguing mystery

In the upcoming Disney+ Hotstar web-series The Great Indian Murder (2022), Pratik Gandhi and Richa Chadha join forces to uncover the mystery behind the murder of unpopular industrialist Vicky Rai (Jatin Goswami), with several suspects under investigation.

Adapted from Vikas Swarup’s novel Six Suspects, the upcoming series has been directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. Gandhi plays CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) officer Suraj Yadav, while Chadha is DCP (deputy commissioner of police) Sudha Bharadwaj, who have been tasked with uncovering the truth about Rai, who also happens to be the son of a minister (Ashutosh Rana).

The characters played by Raghuvir Yadav, Paoli Dam, Sharib Hashmi, Amey Wagh and Shashank Arora all land on the short list of suspects. They all have had run-ins with the junior Rai, a cad by all accounts. Yadav and Bharadwaj’s investigation takes them down several avenues, with different motives. But is Rai’s death a big cover-up? Will the guilty party get away with it while an innocent is framed?

The Great Indian Murder sets up an intriguing mystery which feels promising at first glance.

The series has been co-written for the screen by Dhulia, Vijay Maurya and Puneet Sharma. The Great Indian Murder, produced by Ajay Devgn and Priti Vinay Sinha, will be premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on 4 February in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Bengali.
