Every romantic film deserves a good song. Anuj Danait and Shivam Sengupta have composed a wonderful tune for the upcoming Netflix series, Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein, which stars Tahir Raj Bhasin and Shweta Tripathi as lovers.
Sung by Danait, who also wrote the lyrics, 'Bheega Bheega' has a lilting melody, and the captivating imagery of its lyrics takes it to the next level.
The song sets the tone for the budding romance between Bhasin and Tripathi's characters, who appear to be in college and going through the typical stages of love in the video.
Simple and built on beautiful chord progressions, the song is elevated by Danait's sonorous vocals. The timbre of his voice lends depth to the lyrics, adding to the overall experience. The uncomplicated percussion fits the flow of the vocals perfectly and is catchy. The melody introduced by the violin towards the end is also a lovely touch.
