Gippy Grewal’s Punjabi feature Honeymoon goes on floors

The romantic comedy is being produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Harman Baweja and Vicky Bahri.

Punjabi actor Gippy Grewal’s Punjabi-language film Honeymoon has gone on the floors. The film is a joint production between Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Harman Baweja and Vicky Bahri. 

Grewal has had a spate of releases in 2021, including the recent Shava Ni Girdhari Lal (2021), and had also announced projects that will be out in 2022. However, the new releases have all been postponed due to the ongoing pandemic.

Honeymoon has been written by Naresh Kathooria and directed by Amarpreet GS Chhabra and stars Jasmin Bhasin alongside Grewal. The film marks the cinematic debut of Bhasin, who is a model and former Bigg Boss contestant.

Honeymoon’s shoot was kickstarted in Punjab and the filmmakers gave audiences a sneak peek by sharing pictures from the sets where Grewal,  Bhasin, Chhabra and Bahri are seen holding a clapperboard that reads, ‘Muhurat’.

A romantic comedy, the film revolves around a newly married couple, Deep and Sukh, who want to go on their honeymoon. But Deep’s extended family tag along with the newlyweds, as they have never been out of their village. And so begins a mad ride of 16 people travelling together on the trip which is only meant for the lovebirds.
