Loved working with Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Mozez Singh, says Human actor Vishal Jethwa

Vishal Jethwa got his big break in the Hindi film Mardaani 2 (2019), where he played a psychotic rapist. He will now be seen in the Disney+ Hotstar medical thriller Human where he plays a migrant worker, Mangu, who enrols people for human trials of a banned drug.  

Human stars Shefali Shah as Dr Gauri Nath and Kirti Kulhari as Dr Saira Nath. The show is about how things go awry after their lives get intertwined with that of Mangu.

Jethwa said in a statement that working with the show's directors, Vipul Amrutlal Shah and Mozez Singh, was a pleasant experience. “After working with Gopi [Puthran] sir on Mardaani 2, I thought there’s no other cool director but when I worked with Vipul sir, I realized he is so easy to work with. And not only Vipul but also Mozez sir. I just love the combination of these two directors because wherever practicality is needed, Vipul sir is there and wherever emotionality is needed Mozez sir is there (sic)," he said.

Explaining how the directors went about their work, Jethwa said, “That’s why I loved the bifurcation as the initial two to three episodes of Human are directed by Vipul sir, and then Mozez Sir directed the other five episodes. So, I loved this combination, where I got to work with such superior directors in just one show.” 

Also starring Ram Kapoor, Seema Biswas, Aditya Srivastava and Mohan Agashe, Human will be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar from 14 January.
