Singer Iman Chakraborty and her husband lyricist Nilanjan Ghosh have tested positive for COVID-19.

Quoting a line from her song 'Tumi Jake Bhalobaso', which was featured in the film Praktan (2016) and fetched her the National award in 2017, the vocalist informed her Facebook followers that she had contracted the coronavirus.

The line "Amar dorjay khil [I have bolted the doors of my home]" has become a meme these days.

Chakraborty had got tested for COVID because her husband was running a fever. On 7 January, she posted an update stating that she had tested negative. However, since her symptoms persisted, she got tested again and the reports came positive. Currently, she has a cough and is experiencing a body ache and weakness.

According to a report in the Times of India, an English daily, Chakraborty has recently completed shooting for the music reality show Super Singer (Season 3), along with Anu Malik and Mahalakshmi Iyer. Chakraborty and Ghosh are isolating at home.
