On his 48th birthday, Hrithik Roshan and the makers of the upcoming Hindi remake of the Tamil film Vikram Vedha (2017) have revealed the actor’s look as Vedha.
The character being essayed by Hrithik was made famous by Vijay Sethupathi in the original film while Saif Ali Khan will be seen as Vikram, a role originally played by R Madhavan. The writers and directors of the Tamil neo-noir action thriller are helming the Hindi remake as well.
Hrithik’s first look as Vedha shows him bruised, bleeding and scruffy. Wearing a dark blue kurta and sporting sunglasses, his character seems to have attracted a lot of attention from the crowd behind him.

Inspired by Indian folklore, the 2017 film saw Madhavan and Vijay play a by-the-book police officer and gangster respectively. Surprisingly, Vedha decides to turn himself in, but not before telling Vikram three tales which gives Vikram more insight into his adversary and challenges his notions of good and evil.
Last month, the cast and crew completed two shooting schedules with the leads in Abu Dhabi and Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
The film also stars Radhika Apte, Sharib Hashmi, Rohit Saraf and Yogita Bihani.
Co-produced by T-Series and Reliance Entertainment, in association with Friday Filmworks and S Sashikanth’s YNOT Studios, Vikram Vedha is due to be released worldwide in theatres on 30 September 2022.
