Dev Adhikari, Prosenjit Chatterjee-starrer Kacher Manush to be released this Durga Puja

Pathikrit Basu’s upcoming film Kacher Manush, starring Prosenjit Chatterjee, Dev Adhikari and Ishaa Saha, will be released during Durga Puja this year.

Adhikari stated in a social media post last week, “During this unpredictable time if everything goes well, we will release our Kacher Manush in 2022 Pujo (sic),”

During the launch of the motion poster of the film in October last year, it was announced that the film would be released in the summer of 2022. However, due to the rising number of COVID cases, the West Bengal government has mandated that cinema halls be run with 50% occupancy.

In fact, a few days after making the announcement about the film's postponement, Adhikari himself joined the growing list of figures from the film industry who have contracted the coronavirus.

Adhikari is basking in the success of Avijit Sen’s Tonic, which also stars Paran Bandopadhyay. The actor-director duo has also announced their next project, Prajapoti, which will reportedly mark the cinematic comeback of Mithun Chakraborty.
