Watch Astad Kale as Siddi Masood, Sameer Dharmadhikari as Siddi Jauhar in Pawankhind

After unveiling the first look of the female characters in an action-packed teaser, the makers of the upcoming historical epic Pawankhind (2022) have unveiled the first look of the film's antagonists. But this time, they have opted for simple posters.

The first poster features Sameer Dharmadhikari as the cunning and fearsome Adilshahi general Siddi Jauhar. Interestingly, Dharmadhikari is seen wearing pirate-like attire.

The second poster features Sushrut Mankani's terrifying Fazal Khan. Fazal Khan was the son of the Adilshahi general Afzal Khan who is remembered in history for his attempt to kill Shivaji by deceit, an attempt that cost him his life.

Astad Kale, who played the roles of Gundoji in Farzand (2018) and Kaftalab Khan in Fatteshikhast (2019), Lanjekar's previous two historical epics, will be seen essaying the role of the cruel Siddi Masood in Pawankhind.

The last poster features Rixi Saxena as a menacing Rustam-e-Jamaan. This is Saxena's first Marathi film.

It is pretty clear from the first looks and descriptions of these characters that they are likely to be portrayed as detestable villains without any grey shades.

Pawankhind is the third film in Lanjekar's series of 17th century historical dramas after Farzand and Fatteshikast. The film also stars Chinmay Mandlekar, Akshay Waghmare, Mrinal Kulkarni, Harish Dudhade, Ankit Mohan, Prajakta Mali, Kshiti Jog and Ruchi Mohan.

Produced by Almonds Creation and Chintamani Developers, Pawankhind is scheduled for release on 21 January 2022.
