Rocket Boys to have second season, says producer Nikkhil Advani


Directed by Abhay Pannu, the series traces the journey of India's space programme as well as that of eminent scientists Homi Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai.

Emmay Entertainment producer Nikkhil Advani has confirmed that the popular SonyLIV series Rocket Boys will have a second season.

Directed by Abhay Pannu, the show was premiered on the digital platform on 4 February 2022. The series sees Ishwak Singh and Jim Sarbh play the father of the Indian space programme Vikram Sarabhai and nuclear physicist Homi Bhabha respectively.

Advani told the newspaper Mid-Day that the series will have a second season to continue the story, saying, "We shot both seasons together." 

Directed by Abhay Pannu, the series features Saba Azad, Regina Cassandra, Dibyendu Bhattacharya and Namit Das.

Advani added that Pannu will begin work on post-production following a 'well-deserved break'.

Emmay Entertainment, the producer's home banner, has also backed projects such as Kaun Banegi Shikharwati (2021) and the upcoming Rani Mukerji-starrer Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway (2022).
