Abhinay Berde has joined the cast of first-time filmmaker Ashish Kailas Jain's suspense thriller Dishabhool.
The film, which also stars Amruta Dhongade and Tejas Barve — the hit pair from the television show Mrs Mukhyamantri, revolves around the lives of college students.
This is Berde's fourth feature film. The 24-year-old, who is the son of the late Marathi actor Laxmikant Berde, made his feature film debut in Satish Rajwade's romantic drama Ti Sadhya Kay Karte (2017).
Speaking about his role in the film, Berde said, "Dishabhool is a film with a very unique story. This character is also very different from the roles I have played so far."
The film is currently being shot in Goa. "Apart from this, shooting is also taking place in Pune and the Konkan. The audience will have to wait a few days to find out what exactly happens with these kids," said Berde.
Dishabhool also stars popular television actress Madhuri Pawar, Pranav Raorane, Nagesh Bhosle, Priya Berde, Siddheshwar Zadbuke, Arun Kadam, Ashutosh Wadekar, Mandar Kulkarni and Gautam Devasthali.
The film's music and background score had been composed by Prathamesh Dhongade while it is being shot by cinematographer Veerdhaval Patil.
Dishabhool is being produced by Aarti Chavan, Nilesh R, Vinod Naik and Gopal Kadvat. This is the maiden venture of Chavan's Sanvi Productions.
