The Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa: The Rise (2021) came like an out-of-the-syllabus question for the Hindi box office. The film has been earning both box-office success and acclaim from fans of mainstream commercial cinema.
The craze for the actor is now not limited to just the audience. Even people from the film industry can’t seem to have enough of him. The latest is Alia Bhatt who, after being smitten by Pushpa, is eager to work with Arjun.
The actress said in a statement, “My entire family has watched Pushpa and become fans of Allu Arjun. They are asking me when I will get a chance to get paired opposite him. As they call me Aalu at home, they are asking, ‘Aalu, when will you work with Allu?’ I’m more than glad to jump aboard if I get a chance to work with him.”
Directed by Sukumar, the Hindi version of Pushpa recently crossed the Rs100 crore collection mark.
Interestingly, Bhatt has been approached for another Telugu film after RRR (2022) and is currently in talks with Koratala Siva for a film starring Jr NTR. She told the entertainment portal CinemaExpress.com, “I wouldn't want to comment on it now, but I am excited to do more films in Telugu. I had a lovely time working with Tarak [aka Jr NTR in RRR]. Even the director I'm currently talking to is someone who has done some great work.”
