Alia Bhatt is likely to reunite with her RRR (2022) co-star Jr NTR in his next Telugu project with director Koratala Siva.
The acclaimed actress, who is making her Telugu debut in SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, has confirmed to Cinema Express that she has been approached for another project in that language.
“I wouldn't want to comment on it now, but I am excited to do more films in Telugu. I had a lovely time working with Tarak (In RRR). Even the director that I'm currently talking to [Koratala Siva] is someone who has done some great work till now," she told the movie portal.
The artiste also said that she was looking forward to the release of Koratala Siva’s Acharya, which stars Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan.
The untitled film marks Jr NTR and Koratala Siva's second collaboration after Janatha Garage (2016).
Bhatt plays a character called Sita in RRR, which will be released in cinemas on March 25.
The film is a fictional story set in the 1920s and it is based on the lives of two renowned revolutionaries – Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
“This will be a fictional story on the lives of Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem. There are gaps in the lives of these legendary freedom fighters that we don’t know about. We don’t know what happened in their lives in these years. It is through this fictional story we’d like to show what could have happened in their lives and what would have happened if they met and bonded,” Rajamouli said at the film’s launch last year.
The film also stars Ajay Devgn, Samuthirakani and Shriya Saran.
