Bestseller, which marks Shruti Haasan and Mithun Chakraborty's digital debut, promises to be a riveting thriller.
The cleverly designed teaser, which features a voiceover by Vijay Raaz, is delightfully cryptic and introduces the characters played by Shruti, Gauahar Khan, and lastly Chakraborty.
However, the synopsis below the video gives us a fair idea about the show's plot. It reads, “Celebrated novelist Tahir Wazir, who is facing writer’s block, meets budding writer Meetu Mathur. She is a huge fan who seeks his guidance. Desperate Tahir decides to use her story for his next novel. Ad film assistant Parth is planning something vicious to destroy Tahir and his close ones. Will he succeed? Will Tahir be able to write his next bestseller? Everything unfolds in 8 chapters!”
Chakroborty plays Wazir while Shruti Hassan probably essays the role of Meetu Mathur.
Directed by Mukul Abhyankar, the eight-episode show has been written by Anvita Dutt and Althea Kaushal.
Produced by Siddharth Malhotra’s Alchemy Production LLP, Bestseller will be premiered on Amazon Prime Video on 18 February.
