Vikrant Massey, Sanya Malhotra and Bobby Deol wrapped up shooting for their upcoming crime thriller Love Hostel in July last year. The show will be released on 25 February on the digital platform Zee5.
Produced by Drishyam Films and Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie has been directed by Shanker Raman.
The news was shared by Drishyam Films on Instagram along with a picture of Massey, Malhotra and Shanker from the sets. The post was captioned, “Love against all odds! With this, we are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Red Chillies Entertainment and Zee 5. Taking you on a thrilling journey of love and hope with Love Hostel. Releasing on 25 February, exclusively on Zee 5 (sic).”
Love Hostel traces a couple’s volatile journey as they are hunted down by a ruthless mercenary in the hinterland.
Shanker has primarily been a cinematographer who has worked on well-known films such as Frozen (2007), Peepli Live (2010), Rocky Handsome (2016) and Mukkabaaz (2018). He made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed Gurgaon (2017). His maiden Hindi web-series as a director was Netflix’s Leila (2019), which was co-directed by Deepa Mehta and Pawan Kumar.
