Genelia and Riteish Deshmukh to star in T-Series film Mister Mummy

Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, who celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary yesterday, have announced that they will star in the film Mister Mummy.

The film will be directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Hectic Cinema.

The project marks the actor-producer couple's first on-screen reunion since Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya (2012). Their banner Mumbai Film Company has backed films such as Lai Bhaari (2014) and Mauli (2018).

Mister Mummy's first posters feature a heavily pregnant Riteish struggling through his chores. The second poster also reveals that the actor will share the struggle of pregnancy with his wife, Genelia, in the film. The poster and theme of the film are reminiscent of the Ankush Chaudhari-led Marathi comedy Isshya (2007). 

The tagline for the film reads 'A rollercoaster of laughter and comical drama, get ready for this mad ride unfolding the good news soon.'

The makers have not yet revealed the release date of Mister Mummy.

A promotional note from the production house describing the film reads, "A woman is the epitome of strength, confidence, and empowerment. They say one of the toughest experiences to go through is that of delivering a baby. So what happens when a grumpy man gets pregnant with a baby?"
