John Abraham's super-soldier role in Attack will arrive in theatres on 1 April 2022. The film was earlier scheduled to be released on Republic Day 2021.
The makers announced the new release date with a poster and the addition of the subtext that the film will now be released in two parts.

The new poster sets up the theme of an attack with an explosion in the foreground dominating the attack helicopters arriving in the background. The more intriguing element is the 'Part 1' below the title, suggesting that the film will have at least two parts.
The teaser for the film, which was released in December 2021, did not suggest the film would be released in more than one part.
Featuring John Abraham, Attack: Part I will revolve around a survivor who is endowed with technological implants to help fight an attack on India.
Written and directed by Lakshya Raj Anand, the film also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Prakash Raj and Ratna Pathak Shah. Announced in 2020, the film was initially slated to release on Independence Day 2020 but the COVID-19 pandemic forced the producers to change their plans.
The film is produced by Jayantilal Gada's PEN Entertainment and Ajay Kapoor Productions, in association with John Abraham Entertainment.
