Got totally drawn into Yatri Kripya Dhyan De when I heard the story, says Shweta Basu Prasad

The short film Yatri Kripya Dhyan De, starring Shweta Basu Prasad and Shaheer Sheikh, was recently released on Amazon miniTV.

Written and directed by Abhinav Singh, the 17-minute movie is a period saga with supernatural elements.

The actress said in a statement that she was grateful for all the love the film has been receiving. “I got totally drawn to Yatri Kripya Dhyan De and my character when I heard the story for the first time. What took me by surprise is how they could pack so much thrill, excitement, quirk, and an unpredictable ending, and that too with just two characters and a car. It’s such a compelling story. Kudos to the writer, director, cinematographer who made every moment count," she said.

Yatri Kripya Dhyan De sees a young woman named Nandita (Shweta) hitch a ride in a desolate locale. The driver, Sumit (Sheikh), is freaked out when she forces him to recount a spooky incident from his past.

Singh was the associate producer of two recent web-series Kaun Banegi Shikharwati and Mithya.
