After the success of Mulk (2018) and Thappad (2020), Taapsee Pannu will be re-uniting with Anubhav Sinha. But this time, the latter will be backing her film, an anthology based on the COVID-19 pandemic, via his banner Benaras Media Works, along with Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series.
The segment of which Pannu is a part will be directed by veteran filmmaker Sudhir Mishra. The rest of the films in the anthology will be helmed by Sinha himself, along with Subhash Kapoor, Hansal Mehta and Ketan Mehta.
The actress tweeted on Friday, “I'm thrilled to be re-uniting with Anubhav Sinha and Bhushan Kumar in an anthology film helmed by the brilliant director Sudhir Mishra. The story is unique and is set against the backdrop of the pandemic. Can’t wait to start on this one!”

As a director, Sinha also has the keenly-awaited social drama Anek, which will be released on 13 May. The film will see him reuniting with the popular actor Ayushmann Khurrana after the critically acclaimed and successful Article 15 (2019).
Pannu was recently seen in the Netflix movie Looop Lapeta (2022) with Tahir Raj Bhasin. The film was the official Hindi remake of the German movie Run Lola Run (1998).
