Punjabi actor Ammy Virk’s next release, Aaja Mexico Challiye, looks at the plight of illegal immigrants who get tricked with big promises of agents who are in the business of taking people to America. Although the people think they are following the legal route to enter the country, countless youngsters end up on the ‘donkey route’, fighting nature and the authorities, trying to slip in illegally to the United States.
The latest song to be released from the film, ‘Bhali Kare Kartar’, looks at the hardships of the people trying to survive and make something of themselves.
Virk has shared the link to the song on Instagram.
The soul-stirring song is a prayer that dire circumstances do not fall on anyone and that people may find succour wherever they are. Composed and sung by Bir Singh, who has also written the lyrics, the song's music has been provided by Bhai Manna Singh.
The song shows a group of people in a cramped room, at the back of a truck, walking across jungles, making precarious crossings, while making their way through a treacherous landscape. The group includes people of different races and Virk is one of them.
While the rest of the people in the group seem too tired and hassled to extend themselves to anyone, Virk helps out other people in the group. At one point, security forces catch them and imprison them, with a dead body being carried across.
Written and directed by Rakesh Dhawan, Aaja Mexico Challiye has been produced by Ammy Virk, Gurpreet Singh and Daljit Singh Thind.
The film will be released in theatres on 25 February.
