Have undergone transformation for Chiro Sakha Hey, says Ishaan Mazumdar

Ishaan Mazumdar and Tanushree Chakraborty will star in Argha Deep Chatterjee’s upcoming film Chiro Sakha Hey.

The actors are currently shooting for the film in North Bengal. Chiro Sakha Hey also features veteran actor Barun Chanda and actress Mithu Chakraborty.

Mazumdar plays a professional photographer and painter in the film. “My character Ishan is a bohemian but has some traditional values too. For this character, I had to go through a lot of transformation. People have mostly seen me in corporate looks. But Argha Deep wanted to present me in a completely different look with a man bun and bohemian attire,” said the actor.

Mazumdar has worked with Chakraborty in Raajhorshee De’s Mayaa; however, this is their first film as a romantic pair. “Tanushree is a brilliant actress, and I am fortunate to have a co-actor like her. We have been applauded for performing some scenes together very well,” said the artiste.

Chiro Sakha Hey is also cinematographer Subhadeep Naskar’s first romantic film. “The romantic numbers composed by Soumya Rit are also adding to the feel and ambience of the shooting. We are having a wonderful time here together,” he said.

Chakraborty plays the role of Tilottama, a widow with a tragic past. When she gives up all hope, Mazumdar's character enters her life. “Tilottama works as a teacher in the hills. She has a unique journey in the film,” said the actress. “There aren't many people in her life, but she has a very deep bond with a family. Her love for the members of this family is beyond the parameters of typical relationships.”

Chiro Sakha Hey is Chakraborty’s first film with Chatterjee. “For a long time, we had discussions about doing a film together. Finally, the film is happening and we are shooting in a beautiful virgin location. The weather is beautiful too,” said the actress.
