Box office: Badhaai Do holds steady on day 8

Rajkumar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar's social comedy Badhaai Do earned Rs70 to 75 lakh nett on day eight of its theatrical run, according to BoxOfficeIndia.com.

This takes the overall collection of the Harshavardhan Kulkarni film, which made Rs70 lakh on Thursday, as per the site, to Rs12.60 lakh approximately. 

The film's performance is likely to be impacted by the Hollywood adventure film Uncharted, starring Tom Holland, which was released on Friday. Trade sources suggest that the production budget of Badhaai Do was Rs30 crore.

The film is unlikely to exceed the performance of Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui (2021) which dealt with a similar theme. Featuring Ayushmann Khurrana and Vaani Kapoor, the drama earned Rs22 crore at the box office.
