Ikir Mikir trailer: Rupanjana Mitra, Rajatava Dutta play slippery murder suspects

In the trailer of Ratool Mukherjee’s upcoming film Ikir Mikir, Rupanjana Mitra and Rajatava Dutta play murder suspects. The visuals don’t give away much regarding the storyline except revealing the murder of a security guard.

As Sourav Das’s police inspector investigates the case, both Mitra and Dutta begin to baffle him by altering their testimonies every now and then. As the trailer progresses, the visuals gradually reveal different shades of these two characters. Both of them can be seen acting in a suspicious manner. The trailer also reveals at one point that the two suspects also meet each other at the crime scene.

As he has done in many of his previous films, Dutta can be seen experimenting with his character in this thriller.

Speaking of the plot of Ikir Mikir, the director said in a statement, “This film is a thriller which takes the form of a maze during the first half and gradually takes an unexpected turn in the second half, catering to a very important social issue which is less discussed.

Made in only seven days, the film also features Deboprasad Halder, Apratim Chatterjee, Anindita Raychaudhuri and child actress Tiyasha Saha.

Ikir Mikir is slated to be released digitally on 4 March.
