Luckdown is a story of a newlywed couple, played by Ankush Chaudhari and Prajakta Mali, whose first night together is interrupted when the government of India announces a 21-day lockdown to curb the spread of COVID-19. Due to this development, all the relatives who had arrived to attend the wedding have no other option but to spend 21 days in the couple's house.
Vasu (Chaudhari), a 34-year-old who is desperate to lose his virginity, takes the help of his brothers to find some alone time with his wife, but his nosy relatives always foil his plans.
From planned coincidences, stolen glances and secret rendezvouses, this wooing phase is familiar but at the same time cute and innocent.
Both Chaudhari and Mali look charming together. The trailer has two to three genuinely funny moments. Chaudhari appears to be a perfect fit to play such a character.
Written by Ravindra Mathadhikari and directed by Santosh Manjrekar, the film also stars Shubha Khote, Priya Arun, Ruchira Jadhav, Sanjay Mone, Sanjay Khapre and Omkar Raut.
Produced by Everest Entertainment, Luckdown will be released in theatres on 25 February.
