Filmmaker Argha Deep Chatterjee is shooting for his upcoming film Chiro Sakha Hey in North Bengal.

Starring Ishaan Mazumdar, Tanushree Chakraborty, Mithu Chakraborty and Barun Chanda, Chiro Sakha Hey tells the love story of a bohemian painter and a widow, with a tragic past.

According to the director, there is a deep connection between romance and winter and hence, North Bengal was an obvious choice for him. “The hills now look enticing, as if love has engulfed the entire place,” stated the director.

Chatterjee believes in building personal relationships with the artistes as he believes the bond reflects on screen. “Some of the people from the unit are my old friends and others I have met during the film. We are truly having a lot of fun during the shoot. People here, who are not aware that a shoot is going on, might mistake it as a fun gathering of friends,” said the maker of Jojo (2018) and Mukhosh (2020).

Speaking about the performances by the actors, Chatterjee said, “All of you have seen the work of the actors working in this film before. But the way they have presented themselves in Chiro Sakha Hey is completely different and refreshing. The audience has never seen them in these avatars. I can promise that the audience will get to see a classic love story after a long time.”

Chatterjee is looking forward to the release of the film later this year.
