Pune International Film Festival: World Competition line-up announced


Both physical and virtual screenings will be held and COVID-19 safety protocol will be followed.

The organizers of the 20th edition of the Pune International Film Festival, which will be held from 3 to 10 March, have announced the line-up for the World Competition.

The films that will be showcased in this section as the Suriya-starrer Jai Bhim as well as Erasing Frank (Hungary), 107 Mothers (Slovakia, Czech Republic and Ukraine), Maixabel (Spain), The Exam (Germany, Iraq-Kurdistan and Qatar), Mirrors In The Dark (Czech Republic), House Arrest (Russia), Between Two Dawns (Turkey, France, Romania, Spain), Playground ( Belgium), France (France), Submission (Portugal, France), The Legionnaire (Italy, France) and Amira (Egypt, Jordan, UAE, Saudi Arabia).

Registration is open for the Pune International Film Festival. Both physical and virtual screenings will be held, and the latter will take place in city theatres, including PVR Icon in Pavilion Mall on Senapati Bapat Road and Cinepolis in Westend Mall in Aundh, at 50% capacity. COVID-19 safety protocol will be followed.

The line-up of films shortlisted for the Marathi Competition and Indian Cinema section will be announced on 24 or 25 February.
